  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (room temperature)
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs (room temperature)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 8 oz. brick-style cream cheese (room temperature)
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
  2. Prepare the crisp topping by mixing flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and melted butter until crumbly.
  3. Toss diced apples with granulated sugar and cinnamon for the filling.
  4. In a large bowl, beat room temperature butter and sugar until creamy. Add eggs one at a time with vanilla extract and milk. Combine dry ingredients gradually.
  5. For the cream cheese filling, beat cream cheese with sugar until smooth; add flour, vanilla extract, and egg.
