  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ⅓ cup packed brown sugar
  • ¼ cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ cup cold unsalted butter (cubed)
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened)
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In one bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, cream softened butter and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one by one and mix in vanilla.
  4. Gradually combine dry ingredients with the wet mixture while alternating with milk.
  5. Fold in diced apples gently to avoid overmixing.
  6. Divide batter into muffin cups and top with chilled streusel made from flour, brown sugar, oats, and butter.
  7. Bake for 22–25 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool before frosting.
  8. Beat together cream cheese and butter, adding powdered sugar and cinnamon for frosting.
