  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (for coating)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for coating)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add diced apples, sugar, and cinnamon; stir occasionally for 4-5 minutes until softened.
  2. Mix cornstarch with water and add to the apple mixture, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes until thickened. Let cool slightly.
  3. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Flatten each biscuit into a round shape about 1/4-inch thick.
  5. Place about a tablespoon of apple filling in the center of each biscuit and seal tightly by pinching the edges.
  6. Dip each filled dough ball in melted butter then roll in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon until fully coated.
