  • 4 cups bread flour
  • 1 tbsp instant dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • For the Filling: 1/2 cup unsalted butter, 1 cup light brown sugar, 2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Warm milk slightly and mix with softened butter, sugar, and yeast; let it rest until frothy.
  2. Combine bread flour and salt in a separate bowl; gradually add to the yeast mixture until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until smooth; let it rise in a greased bowl for about an hour or until doubled in size.
  4. For the filling, mix softened butter with brown sugar and cinnamon until smooth.
  5. Roll out risen dough into a rectangle, spread filling evenly, roll tightly into a log, and cut into pieces.
  6. Braid pieces together and let them rise again for 30 minutes on a baking sheet.
  7. Brush with beaten egg and bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 20 minutes until golden brown.
