  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 6 chicken hamburger buns, torn into pieces
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup dill pickles, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/4 cup diced onion
  • 8 slices American cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess grease.
  2. Stir in diced onion and minced garlic; sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add Worcestershire sauce, yellow mustard, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to the beef mixture; mix well.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine torn buns with melted butter and sesame seeds.
  5. In a greased baking dish, layer half of the bun mixture at the bottom followed by half of the beef mixture and half of the special sauce. Repeat layers.
  6. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes until bubbly.
  7. Once baked, add fresh toppings like shredded lettuce, chopped pickles, diced onions, and slices of American cheese.
