  • 200 g grated apples
  • 100 g granulated sugar
  • 100 g dark brown sugar
  • 110 g vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 140 g sour cream
  • 100 g butter (for buttercream)
  • 165 g powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare the caramel sauce by combining granulated sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat until dissolved. Cook until golden, then add butter, heavy cream, and salt, mixing until smooth.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and allspice.
  3. In another bowl, mix sugars, grated apples, and vegetable oil; add eggs one at a time. Mix in sour cream and vanilla until creamy.
  4. Fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
