  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 tube (8-count) crescent roll dough
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine shredded chicken, cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, dried parsley, salt, black pepper, and melted butter until creamy.
  3. Unroll crescent dough into triangles; flatten slightly.
  4. Spoon chicken mixture onto each triangle's widest part; fold edges over filling and seal well.
  5. Brush with beaten egg; sprinkle panko breadcrumbs if desired.
  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown.
  7. For the sauce, melt butter in a saucepan; whisk in flour until golden. Gradually add milk and heavy cream while whisking until smooth. Stir in Parmesan cheese and seasonings; simmer until thickened.
