  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 large apple, peeled and chopped
  • Ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 3/4 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease an 8.5 x 4.5 inch loaf pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat butter, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Add eggs one at a time.
  4. Gradually mix in dry ingredients alternately with milk until combined.
  5. Fold in chopped apples mixed with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan, followed by half of the apple mixture; swirl gently.
  7. Layer remaining batter and apples; top with extra sugar and cinnamon mixture.
  8. Bake for 45-55 minutes or until a tester comes out clean.
