Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 medium chicken breasts, thinly sliced
  • 12 oz linguine pasta
  • ½ cup unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (plus more for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season chicken with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken until golden brown (about 4–5 minutes per side). Set aside.
  2. Cook linguine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water before draining.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Stir in Dijon mustard, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, Italian seasoning, and chopped parsley; simmer for 1–2 minutes.
  4. Add cooked linguine to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce. If needed, add reserved pasta water for desired consistency. Return chicken to the pan and mix thoroughly.
  5. Serve warm garnished with fresh parsley.
