  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • Vegetable oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. If using canned corn, drain it thoroughly; if using frozen, thaw and pat dry.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk the egg until combined.
  3. Add flour, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper to the bowl. Mix well.
  4. Fold in the corn kernels gently until evenly coated.
  5. Form small balls or discs from the mixture.
  6. For frying: Heat vegetable oil in a pan to 350°F (175°C) and fry each bite for about 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown. For baking: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake for about 15–20 minutes until golden brown.
