  • 3 teaspoons active dry yeast

  • 3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 23 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup salted butter, for brushing
  • Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine warm milk and yeast in a bowl; let it sit until frothy.
  2. Mix in sugar, flour, egg, salt, and softened butter until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 15 minutes until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise in an oiled bowl covered with cling wrap for about 90 minutes or until doubled.
  5. Punch down the dough, shape into 12 rolls, and arrange them on a lined baking sheet.
  6. Brush with egg wash made from an egg yolk and milk; let rise for another 30-45 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake rolls for 20-22 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Prepare garlic butter by melting salted butter with chopped garlic; brush over warm rolls.
