  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Vegetable oil for frying (about 1 cup)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce (adjust to taste)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the shrimp under cool water and pat dry with paper towels.
  2. Set up a breading station with one bowl containing flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder; another bowl with beaten eggs.
  3. Coat each shrimp first in the egg mixture then dredge in the flour mixture until fully coated.
