  • 15.25 ounces devil's food cake mix (plus ingredients called for on box)
  • 3.4 ounces instant white chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • Green and orange food coloring
  • 8 ounces Cool Whip (thawed)
  • 30 crushed Oreo cookies
  • 4 Milano cookies
  • ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or black writing icing
  • Additional Halloween-themed decorations (such as gummy candies)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the devil's food cake mix according to package directions in a 9×13 pan. Cool for about 15 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the instant pudding mix with cold milk until smooth. Divide into two bowls; color one green and the other orange.
  3. Poke holes about 1 inch apart across the top of the cooled cake using a wooden spoon handle.
  4. Spoon alternating colors of pudding into each hole, filling generously.
  5. Spread Cool Whip evenly over the top of the cake.
  6. Sprinkle crushed Oreo cookies over the Cool Whip layer for decoration.
  7. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
  8. Decorate with Milano cookies, ghost peeps, candy pumpkins, or sprinkles as desired.
