  • 3 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 3 ounces cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 to 2 jalapeño peppers, minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 lb ground turkey
  • ½ cup almond flour
  • 2 tablespoons finely minced onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¾ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon cumin
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mix softened cream cheese, grated cheddar, minced jalapeños, and garlic until well combined.
  2. In a larger bowl, combine ground turkey, almond flour, minced onion, salt, black pepper, and cumin. Mix until just combined.
  3. Using parchment paper in a burger press, fill halfway with turkey mixture, add the cheese filling in the center, and cover with more turkey mixture to seal.
  4. Grill over medium-high heat for 7-8 minutes per side or until internal temperature reaches 165ºF.
  5. Serve topped with optional crispy turkey bacon and wrapped in lettuce.
