  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cucumber, grated and excess water squeezed out
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, garlic, parsley, mint, oregano, cumin, salt, black pepper, and egg. Mix gently until combined.
  2. Shape the mixture into 20 meatballs (about 1 – 1.5 inches each).
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat; cook meatballs in batches until golden brown and cooked through (about 4-5 minutes per side).
  4. For tzatziki sauce: In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt, grated cucumber (squeezed), garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, dill, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  5. Chill the tzatziki for at least 15 minutes before serving alongside the meatballs.
