  • 1 lb frozen gyoza dumplings (vegan)
  • 1 lb heirloom tomatoes (mixed colors)
  • 1 English cucumber
  • 5 scallions
  • 1 red chili pepper (optional)
  • 1/2 cup basil leaves
  • 3 Tbsp low-sodium Tamari
  • 2 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 23 tsp maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Steam frozen gyoza according to package instructions. Once cooked, transfer to a bowl and toss with sesame oil.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together Tamari, balsamic vinegar, and maple syrup. Pour over steamed dumplings and toss gently.
  3. Chop heirloom tomatoes into wedges, slice cucumber and scallions, and add to the bowl.
  4. Tear basil leaves over the top and sprinkle with sesame seeds or crispy fried onions.
  5. Serve at room temperature or chilled.
