  • 1/4 cup fruit juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 6 cups cooked sushi rice
  • Nori (roasted seaweed)
  • Optional: Furikake seasoning

Instructions

  1. Slice the chicken or tofu into 8-10 pieces and marinate in a mixture of soy sauce, fruit juice, and sugar for 15 minutes.
  2. Fry the marinated chicken or tofu in a skillet over medium heat until crispy on both sides.
  3. Lay a strip of nori shiny side down on a cutting board and place a musubi mold in the center.
  4. Fill the mold with sushi rice, pressing down firmly.
  5. If desired, sprinkle furikake over the rice layer.
  6. Place one slice of cooked chicken or tofu on top of the rice.
  7. Wrap the nori around the chicken or tofu tightly but not too tight; seal with water if needed.
