Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 packet instant yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup warm milk (about 110°F)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup strawberry jam
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp milk (as needed for consistency)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add warm milk and melted butter; stir until combined into a soft dough. Knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  2. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover with a damp cloth. Let it rise in a warm place for about an hour or until doubled in size.
  3. While the dough rises, prepare the filling by combining cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, chopped strawberries, and strawberry jam until smooth.
  4. Roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle (about ¼ inch thick). Spread the cheesecake filling evenly over the dough.
  5. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar mixture on top of the filling and tightly roll up the dough into a log shape. Cut into equal pieces (about 12) and place cut-side up in a greased baking dish.
  6. Cover the rolls again and let them rise for another 30 minutes while preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  7. Bake for about 25 minutes until golden brown. Allow cooling slightly before drizzling with cream cheese glaze.
