  • 12 oz canned chickpeas (drained)
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 2 green onions, minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour (or chickpea flour)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup grapeseed oil (for frying)
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp fresh dill
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tsp sea salt

Instructions

  1. Drain and pat dry chickpeas. Mash them in a large bowl until coarse but still textured.
  2. Add cumin, black pepper, salt, green onions, garlic, flour, and egg to the chickpeas. Mix until well combined.
  3. Heat grapeseed oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Shape mixture into small patties and fry for about 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. For the yogurt sauce, mix Greek yogurt, lemon juice, dill, garlic, and salt in a bowl.
  6. Serve warm patties with the yogurt sauce.
